Between the pines and the sea you will find this typical andalucian style hotel. A family hotel with a central andalucian patio, designed and decorated with a multitude of antiques and art objects to enhance your stay and take you back to an era of traditional andalucian times. Your position could not be more priveleged, next to the pines that circle the city and to the beach of La Puntilla, which can be found in only a short walk from the hotel. Also the hotel is very close to the local port of Puerto Sherry, a beautiful port with numerous bars and restaurants and only a 20 min walk. During your stay you can forget the car and enjoy the old streets of the city on foot or spend your free time sunning yourself on one of the many beaches. Additionally the hotel is equipped with 2 outdoor salt water pools and a solarium with views of the pines and the sea.

Zumba es un movimiento o disciplina fitness de origen colombiano, enfocado por una parte a mantener un cuerpo saludable y por otra a desarrollar, fortalecer y dar flexibilidad al cuerpo mediante movimientos de baile combinados con una serie de rutinas aeróbicas.El zumba utiliza dentro de sus rutinas los principales ritmos latino-americanos, como lo son la salsa, el merengue, la cumbia, el reggaetón y la samba. En cada sesión de Zumba, se pueden llegar a quemar 800 calorías.

Pudimos disfrutar de magníficos profesores que nos motivaron e incentivaron a no dejar de bailar en toda la mañana.

But one of its best qualities is the wide availability of delicious delicacies ranging from the freshest seafood to oven baked sweets and homemade ice creams. Here is what every visitor to El Puerto needs to try:

Tostada con Jamón, Tomate, y Aceite: Yes, it’s a mouthful, but I urge visitors to start their morning off right with this hearty Spanish breakfast. Depending on the bar (the local word for small Spanish restaurant) you’ll either be served a freshly toasted baguette or thin, crunchy mollete, both of which will be lightly toasted and topped with cured ham, tomato puree, and extra virgin olive oil.

Langostinos Tigres: Sweet, flavorful tiger prawns are a special treat in El Puerto. They are never missing from the table at special Spanish events. They are usually served cold after being quickly blanched in boiling water and sprinkled with sea salt. Don’t be taken aback when you see these creatures presented in their full shells, heads, eyes, and all. Peeling them is half the fun and Spaniards would consider anything else a sign of bad quality. If you are especially daring you can suck out the brains—a true delicacy.

Navajas a la Plancha: Razor clams are another southern Spanish treat that is best when served simply. They are usually grilled until they just open and accompanied by a lemon wedge.

Tortilla de Camarones: These crispy fried shrimp fritters can be found in most tapas bars throughout El Puerto. A good tortilla de camarones is crunchy and served piping hot. If you don’t look too hard you won’t even see the tiny whole shrimp contained in each fritter—shells, head, eyes, and all! But please don’t let this put you off, as these Spanish shrimp fritters are amazingly delicious and you’d be missing out not to sample at least a few while visiting El Puerto de Santa María.

Espeto de Sardinas: Half the fun of these charcoal roasted sardines is seeing them cooked over an open barbecue, often carved out of an old fishing boat. They are a delicious and typical dish in most of El Puerto’s chiringuitos (beach bars).

Tejas de El Puerto: This delicious cookie is popular throughout Spain, but the recipe varies greatly region by region. The ones in El Puerto are made with slivered marcona almonds, and the cookies are baked in old fashioned wood ovens. These are also one of the best souveniours to bring back from your trip!

Helado de Tejas: Since El Puerto’s Tejas are probably the best in all of Spain, Heladería Da Massimo’s Tejas Ice Cream is Spain’s best flavor as well! Creamy and crunchy, this unique ice cream flavor is a specialty in El Puerto.
